Tell me honestly. About a year ago I had finished my second semester of technical college for network administration. At this time I fell into some money problems and was unable to pay the colleges inflates arse prices. I took it upon myself to get my cisco certification and Solaris certification. I will get my CCNA by the end of this month and I will get my Solaris 7 certification by april. What is the probability of somebody hiring me with just a cisco CCNA cert. as a junior admin spo I can gain expirience until I get my solartis certification or even after I get my solaris. You need expirience in this field, and nobody will hire you unless you have it. I cant find an entry way in! Also, what will my salary look like, if any... Thanks for any responces
No offense: "They hire grad students." I am none of the sort =) I graduated valedictorian form a class of about 350, but employers don't care too much about that. I have only one year of college. Gates didn't graduate college so I am hoping that there is hope for me as well... Although I honestly don't believe I will ever be as fortunate as he was, as coniving, as deceitful... well.. I am not him.
He's a tip for all you people in school right now. What you do in school and what grades you get means exactly dick when it comes to getting a job.
Employers will hire someone with a low grade point average as long as they have experience.
Experience is what got me my job, not my 3.52 GPS on a 4.0 scale from Penn State.
You WILL be able to find a job. What area do you live in. If it's around where I live (Silicone Valley) It's even easier. Lots of companys, evan more startups.
