A Pentium 4 1.8A. 3/4 the price of the 2.4B, 3/4 th eperformance, but...should clock to 2.4B speed. With the board I ordered I wouldn't have gotten a 2.4B over 2.7GHz anyway.

RDR, simply because of the overclocking issue, with PC1066 only slightly exceeding DDR400 performance at stock speed, but being overclockable by 25% whereas DDR400 is not. Couldn't wait for dual channel DDR any longer.

oooh cool, your finally leaving the stone age of pentium3's hehehe
whats gonna happen to your old box?

I'm RMAing the board for a defect, probably sell the new one when it arrives. I'll probably put the chip on an old Slot 1 board and sell the system for at least $150 more than it's worth. I got two new 8MB cache 80GB drives comming also, but no video card yet, so I'll probably throw an old i740 card on the old Slot 1 board when I sell it.
In fact, all I'm getting rid of with the old system is one hard drive, 1 stick of memory (256MB), and 1 CPU. I'll have to scrape the rest up from spares to complete an old system for resale. I think I'll ask for $450. Then when I sell it, maybe I'll use the money (minus the 10% sales commision) to buy a Radeon 9700? I'm happy with my old card for now, so I'll probably do something stupid instead like by tires for my van.
Hmm, winters comming, maybe those wires sticking out of the tires will aid in traction on the ice?

LOL @ wires sticking out of tires.
u could allways hammer a few nails half way into your tires for added traction!
