Win98 & XP compatability;

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.broadbandnet.hardware (More info?)

Currently have (older) desktop w/ Win98SE & broadband via
modem. Looking to make wireless network w/ a new laptop
having WinXP. Any feedback on compatability - and "do-
ability" - would be appreciated.
Also, any words regarding use of "Super-G" wireless
hardware?
Thanks in advance. Chris

More about win98 compatability
  1. Archived from groups: microsoft.public.broadbandnet.hardware (More info?)

    You would need to check with the "Super-G" folks to see if it is compatible
    with Win98SE, however you should be aware those devices are compatible
    necessarily with each other and you cannot mix brands like a new laptop with
    built-in wireless. You would need to make sure the laptop built-in is
    compatible, or go to the expense of a "Super-G" add-on adapter for it.
