SSD in Asus G53J

Hello, I wanted to buy two ssds to replace the hdds in my laptop and was wondering if I could put the intel 510 series, SATA III?
I thought it would be great because then it would save on battery, it would be super fast, and I could move around the laptop without worrying about damaging the spinning disk

Yes you could. Even though your HM55 motherboard has SATA II ports (3GB/s)
It would not make the CPU/GPU work faster and battery savings would be miniscule.
Instead of being dropped you'd need to worry about it being stolen with an extra $530 worth of SSDs.
