Could anybody tell me what the fastest processor is that'll fit into a Socket 7 MB? Would it be the Durons, or perhaps the ThunderBird? Is there some speed-limit on this board?

Thanks!!

?

Durons, thunderbirds, athlon xp, throurbred A and B, are ALL SOCKET A ... NOT SOCKET 7

the fastest chip possible for socket 7 is 600mhz. good luck findign that so 550mhz is the max possible period end of story.

Life is irrelivent and irrational.

But even then that's assuming that it's a SUPER socket 7 with a chipset that has SUPPORT for it.

Not really, most of the old Pentium MMX boards (2.8v) would work with the K6-2 (2.2v) if you used a good cooler.
