Don't be afraid at (prudent) overclocking
I'm happily running an E6550 overclocked by 37% (current speed: 3.2 GHz - default speed: 2.33 GHz) with no side-effects
I've been running it at that speed for a little over a year already ... and this is with the stock cooler, mind you
Maybe I was a little lucky with this processor
