Researchers say they have created the first ever animal with artificial information in its genetic code. The technique, they say, could give biologists "atom-by-atom control" over the molecules in living organisms.

Weird and I wonder where this will take us.

Very cool stuff you found there. I can only imagine what this is going to do for pharmaceuticals, combine this with the laws they are trying to pass regarding patenting genetic code and you may have problems......Also if/when these things get out of the lab and into the wild who knows what they are going to do.


Also as a side note thank you Archean for posting some thoughtful and interesting news articles. Its a nice breather from the battlegrounds.

Indeed, probably another step towards having 'designer babies' ?
