My current system is:

A new Amd 2200+ cpu
ecs k7ama mobo
512MB DDR Ram
80Gig 7200 Rpm hard drive
Herclues 4000xt 32MB Video card

Currenty i have some spare money for a bit of an upgrade, what to you people think i should get.

I am thinking of updating the mobo and the video card, good idea?

I live in the uk

Analyzing your specs, your current system is quite sufficient, all except the video card. I would get a Leadtek GeForce4 Ti 4200 ($132 at newEgg.com) and overclock it (not difficult) to near GeForce4 Ti 4600 speed. The GeForce4 Ti 4600 represents nVidia's current top contender.
