ASUS Z7100 screen problem

Hi I've had this ASUS z7100 for a long time. Just recently it turned off, and when trying to turn it back on, you can see the normal boot logo, but then all these small different colored boxes with wierd letters or numbers appear on the screen. I want to try and fix this. Thanks, Jed

can you give any more info? does the laptop stay in that state? does the windows login come up? can you try your laptop with external monitor?

No, once you turn it on it stays in that state. I havent tried using an external monitor.
