Hello,
I want to purchase a 15.6" laptop and am so confused I could puke. I've read and read and read. I'll tell you what I've gathered. The things I like: Ati mobility Radeon HD 5470, i5-450m 2.4 ghz, GPU, GDDR5 7200RPM, GTX 460m, CPU that's more than 2ghz, Mobility Radeon HD 5870, 1080p screen HD. My budget is flexible but I'm thinking around $1,000. Not using for gaming. Want to sit with it on my lap in bed and surf the net. I love photograpy and hope to get into photoshop. I want it to be super fast, great screen and graphics, great sound, lots of memory and not too heavy. I would love your advice. Best bang for my buck. Oh by the way, I'm Canadian eh!

Reviewing the budget and thinking I can increase the budget up to $1500.
What do you think of the Dell xps 15-L502x if it is upgraded to i7 2760QM 2.4Ghz with turbo upto 3.5, Nvidia 540m with Optiumus, 8GB DDR3, 750GB 7200RPM, B+RGLED TL (1920x1080) screen, JBL 2.1 speakers with Wave Maxx Audio 3, Weight 6.7 lb or maybe more with upgrades. $1500. If I got it I think I might need the 9 cell battery. It's only at this price until this Friday.
The only thing is, is it really overkill for me?
