I can get a XP 1800 right now, but if i hold out for another week or so ill be able to get an XP 2000. Is there a big enough differnce to make waiting worth it or should i just save my money and get the 1800 now.

My advice is, if you don't need it right now, wait as long as you can. For example, if you computer does the job but seems a little slow, in a month it will seem a little slower, wait until you can't stand the slowness, then upgrade. A lot of people could save a lot of money by lengthening their upgrade intervals.

1800 and 2000 wouldn`t matter.

buy now, or wait about 3,4 months and go for the thoroughbred athlon, 2200 and above
