ie6 sp1 and sql

Please I have windows xp sp1 with internet explorer 6-service pack 1 and I have problem to connect to sql database.ERROR is (Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection).When i install netscape navigator 7 it works normally. Please can somebody tell me why?
