What is the best bang for the buck CPU for this mobo? I will be running adobe and quake 3.

Well you can overclock mildly and take a 1900+ to the 2100+ level but you can get a 2100+ and overclock it past the 2200+, the last BIOS flash I did I believe went up to 2100+ so if I wasn't already running a 1900+ I'd shoot for the 2100+, you could go higher if you unlock the processors multiplier, but with the processor locked you can get a 1900+ from 1600Mhz to 1730Mhz by increasing the FSB to 144 using the +.025 V-Core voltage setting.
