There's a handfull of vendors who have them under $200. Check out resellerratings.com if you want or take our word for it and go with newegg.

why do you need it so fast? your 2200 XP+ is out of date and you can't run latest games? lol

AXP 2400+ is not way better than your 2200+. So no reason for upgrading to a 2200+

i amazed, people want the latest cpu, just because they think they need the fastests and the latest to run games, get a life!

Yeah, I'd say that after a certain point, having a better GPU is more important than having a really really fast processor (although it can't hurt I guess). But lets be honest with ourselves, it just feels good to have the fastest piece of silicon that you can afford. This could make a good article....

I'm a huge fan of newegg. I have absolutely no complaints to make about them.

For the interest of those in the UK, the 2400+ has just become available at dabs.com

I just looked on Price Watch and saw that Bzboyz.com and Tufshop.com have them in stock. I would avoide this company (they are the same company) like the plague. They also operate under the name of Micro X. I have dealt with them before and its not fun. Check out their rating and reviews on ResellerRatings.com, there are tons of them, before dealing with them. Hope this saves you some time and headaches.

They had some OEM CPUs in stock today, they're still a long lead time of the retail boxes for the 2400+ and above.

Any time. Now where the hell is the Ati 9700 Pro. It's been in the US for nearly two months already.

I'd love to know why it takes so long for this gear to land on the shelves in the UK.

Didn't you know? Americans are vastly superior in every way.

Just kidding by the way. ;)

Seriously, I'm guessing because of setting up export/import channels through customs. Maybe it takes time to convince them that an ATI Radeon 9700Pro isn't a bomb! :O
