Dagger Throwing Magic Items

This is an e-mail I recently sent to Grunthos (from the Quick Draw
thread, where I have apparently degenerated to doing MSB
impersonations). Do you think these prices are in line with these items?

Not sure if you've been following the "Quick Draw" thread or not, but I
had a few ideas.

1. "Improved Returning": This could be a +2 equivalent ability
(additional +1 if grafted onto a weapon that already has Returning). It
works like Returning but the weapon comes back immediately and can be
used over and over in the same round. You'd need two of these (+1
Improved Returning, equivalent to +3 weapons) to throw two daggers per
attack over and over again, forever.

2. "Bandolier of Catching": This item can hold 12 daggers and
automatically catches your daggers with the Returning quality for you
instead of you having to catch them in your hand. It would be a fairly
cheap item, maybe 1500 gp.

3. "Bandolier of Infinite Daggers": This item can hold 12 daggers, and
any slots that are empty at the end of a given round are instantly
filled with ordinary daggers. These daggers are created by magic but
have no magical qualities themselves. They disappear one round after
being drawn. Another relatively cheap item, maybe 2500 gp.

You could even combine 2 and 3 for 4000 gp if you like.

Bear in mind that #3 means the character will always have a melee weapon
in reach, and a character with Quick Draw can never effectively be disarmed.

Which of the preceding would YOU choose for your dagger throwing PC, and
why?

"All of the above, please."

I think I'd like to have one +1 Improved Returning Dagger (Adamantine),
a #2/#3 combo, and one each of several +1 Returning (cool specific
+1 enhancement) daggers.

Would you also allow a "glove of returning" that imparts the
"returning" enhancement on any weapon thrown with that hand? It
*seems* reasonable... maybe 6000 gp, 24K for "improved returning"?

Here's a slightly amusing thought: a -2 cursed adamantine dagger.

And would you like fries with that? :^)

Rrrmmm... I dunno, it goes into a lot of territory I am trying to
avoid. Plus, slapping a +1 enhancement on ALL of your thrown weapons
(while leaving them open for other enhancements without the exponential
increase in cost) is a pretty heft ability. Imagine gloves that made
all of your weapons Flaming.

Heh. I wouldn't allow it to work that way, and the rules don't
specifically say that it does -- but amusing, yes.

Sure. It's my (strong) suspicion that Adamantine is an amazingly good
deal right around +3 (18.3Kgp base). If I only had the time to play in
the [campaign] game, I probably would have gone for a dwarven cleric
with no magic items. But with an adamantine warhammer, specifically
to take out walls and things that are holding up webs. :)

Or a Helm that did that? Brilliant! :)

I actually patterned it after the Amulet of Mighty Fists, on the
presumption that one of those could be modified much like the Bracers
of Armor in the Arms & Equipment Guide to gain a special ability.

Maybe double those prices (which is either (8K and 32K) or (12K and
48K), depending on what "doubling" means) would be more appropriate.
