i want to create an xp, home version boot disk. i know you can use the xp disk itself but i want to make one just in case the cd is not available (ex i'm at another branch but all the cd's are kept elsewhere or they can't find it). i tried looking in the help but it kept refering me to the xp cd. anyone know how?

thanks for the help.
i tried the 1st way but my computer computer ignored the disk. i think because the the instructions simply say "format a:" and technically it's not bootable. i created a boot.ini file in my text editor but it was still showing it as a text file, this could have been the problem as well.
i also downloaded the utility. it was working ok untill i stopped it. it requires 6 floppy, which i don't have. i'll try again when i get some more floppies.

A custom XP Boot disc is available at bootdisk.com. It fits on one floppy, and has some fun and usefull tools in it. When you have opened it through Windows, check out AEFdisk, among others. I just used it to set up a friends Dell, it worked perfect.
