this isnt just another paper release, newegg.com has the new xp2700s in stock! These things kick so much ass, acording to reviews at amdmb.com and others these things can realy overclock too, amdmb got their one up to 180mhz fsb with air cooling.

That one is wrong too. It should be 2.08 if its a 333mhz fsb processor or 2.13 if its a 266 fsb processor. <A HREF="http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/white_papers_and_tech_docs/25175.pdf" target="_new">Tech Doc</A>
Recursion - I curse then I recurse again and again
Initially the XP2800+ was supposed to be at 350$, so now the 2700+ is a rather weak value. The 2.8GHZ P4 is equal in price, if not lower. I wouldn't get so excited, HOWEVER if there is actual proof that the bus got up to 180MHZ easily, and the clock speed was overclocked as easy under some average air cooling, then perhaps we got a good CPU. Otherwise AMD is only releasing them to get some competition, albeit at a weak pricing scheme. From what I read also, AMD was down to 11.5% market share!
