I haven't heard any formal announcement from Microsoft about a x86-64 version of Windows....yet.

But we haven't heard any annoncements from Microsoft just 'beta' demos it has all been a bit hush hush on the MS x86-64 front. Microsoft already officially support IA64.

Hmmm...if only I had a Hammer system so I could try out the debugger...ah heck! ;-)

I think there's been a few rumors going about that Longhorn will have an x86-64 derivation. Not sure how true that is. M$ currently is in a tough spot with the new sanctions imposed by the Justice Department not to mention the fact that Sun is after their throats. They can't really afford to piss off a major company like Intel by shouting loud and clear support for a competitor's ISA extension. That doesn't mean they aren't working on it though.
