Hi,
just would like to know what do you guys RUn to test for your systems stability when you build your pc..
Is there any program to download and run in loops for hours so that i am sure that all the parts (RAM,HD,Video Card,CPU) can take the load and heat....
Replies are appreciated

Halkebul has told you the best, at least for testing the CPU

Also you can run Sisoft Sandra and 3DMark2001SE. The second is specially good for toasting your GPU! :)

Remember to run these programs for some hours at least.

It depends....with a K7 based CPU...I beg to differ....cuz thna Id have to say the absolute BEST is TOAST.

Yeah toast is amazing.. especially (or only ?) usefull to test your cooling setup with an overclocked cpu. Toast gives me over 10°C more than any real world program, or even Sandra or PRime95 give me. However, toast isnt designed to test stability. I can easily imagine a well cooled overclocked system to survive toast, but to fail in eg memtest86 or a harddisk burn-in program. So if its for burn-in test of a newly built pc, I'd look elsewhere.

(btw, BurnK7 is about as good, and also has binaries for many other cpu's (K6/Celerons/P3, no P4 though).
