I found my perfect laptop, but it only ships to the US! I live in Canada.

With coupon code "NBG64548" and adding bluetooth this laptop comes to $919USD before tax, and $1001USD after tax and shipping.

HP says it may not be exported, and they only take US credit cards. So I'm a little out of luck (I tried contacting their sales team, but no budging). There IS an Canadian HP site, but it's the worst. You can't configure their laptops, and they have only old overpriced laptops (that I could find).

My budget is around $1000+ for similar specs. I'd be willing to go up to $1300 if the specs increased as well. Here is more or less what I am looking for as a minimum:

i7-2630QM
Radeon 6770M
8GB DDR3
750GB 7200RPM
9 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
15.6" 1920 x 1080
Blu-ray player & SuperMulti DVD burner
Intel 802.11b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth

I am not brand loyal. I'd be willing to go down to a GTX560M, but not as low as GT555M or GTX540M.

Can anyone find a laptop that ships to Canada? I've been looking for weeks. Thanks for your time :)

hmm go down to 560? what gave you the impression that 6770 is better than 560?

at best it's on par with 555. 560 has about 20% on 6770. link

Anyhow, I think this is almost the same thing:
$939 - no blueray

Sager NP8130 with 2670,560,8gb,640gbhdd comes out to ~$1100
same thing can be found all over newegg i7 + 560 is at least $1100

yeh seems like that hp coupon is a good deal.
I'd say see if you have any friends/relatives in the US who can buy it for you and you'll pay them back.

The benchmarks I've seen showed the 6770M above the others, but after your post I looked into it more and it looks like you're correct. The GTX 560M would do wonderfully.

There is no analogue on the newegg.ca site, and the resolution is a tad lower than I would have liked but I appreciate you looking for me :)

The Sager is very tempting. I'll be considering it over the next few weeks.

@cloudy2010: Thanks for the link, it's a decent laptop but the resolution is a bit below what I would prefer.
