Pointer frozen in the center of screen windows 7

I can get a few screens to show using various keystrokes but cursor still frozen

  1. Hello trinaannlane;

    Try a system restore back to a date when the mouse was working correctly.

    Open the Start Menu and type in System Restore in the search option.

  3. Did your Control Panel Mouse settings have any options you didnt test?
  4. Check to see if your laptop has any options to 'lock the trackpad' like you would if you were using an external mouse.
  5. Without the touchpad I can't figure out how to get there
  6. Tab key, arrow keys should work like you expect.
    You could try a USB external mouse.
  7. Have you checked the laptop manual for a Fn+keypress to that locks/unlocks the trackpad?
  8. Hit Fn + F7
    I just did it and it worked for me. Hope it works! :)

  10. Thank you soooo much for finding the solution to your problem with you mouse!!! I have (had) the same exact problem, and I tried the Fn + F7 on my computer and it worked!!! I've searched for an answer to this problem for several months! thank you so much!

  14. I held down SHIFT and tapped F5 once. It worked.

    I have a Toshiba with Windows 10.
    Today is 5.14.2016
