I just purchased an a7n8x board. I had a volcano 7+ heatink, and for some reason it just would not go on secure. I switched it out with my old heatink that worked perfectly fine, but the bios on the board said the temp was at 95C/210F or somewhere around there, I immmeeeedieatly turned off the board, but the heatsink or processor was not even warm, I turned it on again, started off at 185F, but has worked it's way down to 55C/134F . Should I be concerned about this? Are temperature sensors sometimes that wrong for whatever reason?

are you useing thermal paste and yes sometimes the thermal diode on the motherboard can be off but who knows, give the motherboard time to get a good reading if it says it's hot but it's cool to the touch it's probably not overheating sorry I couldn't help more...
