Fix up or buy new

Ok...kind of new to the game, at least as far as bulding a computer. I have an old Dell Inspiron laptop, Pentium II 233mhz with 128MB RAM and a 3GB hard drive. I run a 20GB external hard drive and a CD-RW off it as well. Would you suggest overhauling my existing computer (new processor, etc.), buying a new comp, or something else? Thanks...

I would sell the old one and price new ones from Dell or IBM. I don't know of anyone who upgrades laptops. The boards are proprietary and rather expensive.

Pay particular attention to the graphics capabilities of the laptop you're about to purchase if you plan on playing any games on it. I recommend a laptop with ATi's mobility Radeon 9000.
