I have a problem installing Nvidia 40.72 drivers in Windows 98 the self extract executable file gives me an error which is propably related to the operating system. Iam trying to find a link with 40.72 Nvidia drivers so i can install the drivers from the device manager and not to run the exe file. Any links?
The error is more likely to be related to the self-extracting .exe in the drivers to have been damaged during the download ... it's not an isolated incident.
To avoid errors of this nature, don't use a download manager to get the files. And it's always best when upgrading drivers like this to extract them to a clean folder and manually upgrade the drivers in the Device Manager.
By the way, the latest retail release of the nVidia drivers are the <A HREF="http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=win9x_41.09" target="_new">41.09's</A>.
