Hi my name is Brenda, when I was troubleshooting my computer told me that my Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter's driver was not fixed. I have Microsoft Security and not Zone Alarm. Can you please tell me how to fix this problem? My email is cjmn_dfan_jngn@yahoo.com. Thanks so much.

Nobody is really using that protocol yet so you can simply disable it in your device manager till needed
Teredo is enabled by default on Windows Vista/7 but is inactive until required.

You can disable it using netsh:
Open a cmd prompt
Type the following commands:
netsh
interface
teredo
set state disabled

To set it back to default again use:
set state default

The 'Teredo' tunnelling thing is the newest ip networking/internet-networking thing ( IPv6 ). You don't need it, as most of the internet is still IPv4.

Hello Brenda,

Just disable it in System Control Panel.

Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assistance and support.
