My less than 2 year old P992 monitor has all of a sudden developed a
dull (washed out) look on the desktop. I noticed that dark backgrounds
(like when it boots up or goes into screen saver mode) are no longer
dark but instead light gray - I can clearly see the borders. It is out
of warranty as it came with a 8250 system. Has anyone seen this before
with a P992? Is there something I can do to make it snap out of this?

thanks
SS

Hopefully you've tried the obvious, adjusting the brightness, contrast
and color temp using the front buttons. Is Adobe Gamma included in
your bootup files? You might try adjusting that if it is.

If you can't adjust it, it's worth having it looked at. It's a nice
monitor.
