If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated as im lost.
Ok, my computer screwed up so I did a reformat (NTFS not quick) and re-installed Windows. Everything worked great except that now, whenever I boot it seems to want the Windows XP CD, even though I changed the BIOS to boot from the Hard Drive. Whenever I try to boot without the Windows CD in my computer I get a message that says this:

Boot from ATAPI CD-ROM:
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER:

I then insert the Windows XP Installation CD and press enter, windows then boots. Can someone pleez help to stop making it to want the XP installation CD everytime I boot my computer. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Try an fdisk /mbr

It sounds as though it's not detecting the boot information on your /mbr.

You could also check the <A HREF="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q289022&" target="_new">boot.ini</A> file, and make sure that it is correct.

Make a <A HREF="http://www.bootdisk.com" target="_new">bootdisk</A> and boot from that. At the A: prompt, type:

fdisk /mbr

and you should be off and running.
