I have a Celeron 600mhz in a socket370 Mobo , its the FCPGA form factor , i wanna know if i can upgrade to a celeron 1.3ghz even though its in a FCPGA2 form factor. my mobo has a 100fsb so it can handle it , so basically what im trying to say is can u put a FCPGA2 cpu in a mobo with a FCPGA cpu in it , also do u need to use thermal grease with a fcpga2 cpu? , im not sure cuz of that integrated metal heatsink built onto it

You're beat unless you get an adapter to run a Tualatin.

If the board is more than a year old it most likely doesn't support Tualatins. If it's less than a year old, support for Tualatins depends on when it was initially released. FC-PGA2 does NOT mean Tualatin, I have an FC-PGA2 Coppermine PIII 1000EB. Instead it means it has a HEAT SPREADER. Most FC-PGA2 CPU's are tualatin core, but a few are coppermine core.

My recommendation would be to get a PIII 1000EB as long as your motherboard supports 133MHz bus speed. I'll go one further and say: You have a Socket 370 board that supports Coppermines. I've never seen a board with those features that didn't support 133MHz FSB.

Still I could give you 100% accurate advice instead of 99% accurate advice if you told me what board you have.
