Is there any way to manually make the fan run at maximum on a GlobalWin CAK4-88T, its only running at 2800 at the moment and is supposed to speed up as the temp increases, I would like to run it at the full 4500 rpm for greater cooling. My pc is already quite noisy I don't think i would notice any noise difference.

2800 rpm is good for a 8X8cm fan, and it is quiet but if you want more performance buy the Tt Smart Fan II and set it to 4800 rpm... (The fan is 8cm X 8cm right?)

I have no idea how to do it spin at max speed. Try heating somehow the sensor
Edited by andlcs on 12/07/02 08:01 PM.

I've done it on my Thermaltake Volcano 7 (not + version) by shorting 2 wires of its sensor. It runs at full speed now (4800RPM).

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

I have no idea where the sensor is located, this is the main problem, I believe it is somewhere in the heatsink, how could I find out.
How would I go about heating the sensor ?????

You can remove the fan out. I guess there should be a sensor wire attachs to it. I have never used your type of HSF, but that what I've done with mine.
