I have lost my laptop screen...

Hello,
I have connected my laptop via a HDMI cable to my television and when I intended to extend my desktop to TV I have seemed to have made it the permanent desktop, the worst part is the TV says out of range so I cant see what is on my laptop in order to change it back, how can I regain the use of my screen when I cant see it on the TV or the laptop itself?
