Well now I'm using MSI MS-6330 Lite3 motherboard, and I'm planing to upgrade my CPU to AthlonXP 1700+, does my motherboard support it? (from what I know, it should)
and is it going to improve my game performence?
I'm using Duron 1Ghz right now...
I hope it will help...

Ah yes, it's the Kt133a chipset, so you'll be able to support up to an 1800+, maybe even higher with a bios flash. As to improving game performance, it depends partially on your graphics card, although you'll see a big performance jump from just the CPU. Just make sure you have Pc-133 sdram, and not pc-100 or slower

Instead of Rdram, why not just merge 4 Sdram channels...

Ah, nice :) too bad I only have a GeForce2MX 400 VideoCard XP, but it shall do.

and yes, I have PC133 SD ram right now, but cuz this Duron I have to change my jumper to make it run at PC100 x_x

which is really sad..

Don't like to tell bad news, but a GF2 MX will be the BIG bottleneck for your games! Your XP1700+ will be hanging around most of the time ...

Check Tom's VGA Charts . They used XP2000+, but results should give you an idea of how far is limiting your GPU. Just a GF3 will multiple by 3 your FPS in most games (or even more in those non CPU dependant)

Still looking for a good online retailer in Spain :frown:
