I have a msi nforce 415, 3d prophet kyro 2 64mb, athlon xp 1800+, 20 gb quantum 5400 rpm, 60 gb maxtor 7200 rpm, volcano 7, two fan in order to extract the air. idle right now the system is at 41 C and the cpu at 54 C (pc alert 4), the volcano is always running at top speed after one or two minutes i turn on the pc, when i am gamming the cpu can go to over 60 C, when it reaches 60 C my MB alert me and i open the case... is that very hot? what should i do? my room is very hot also, even if my case is open and i put a room fan next to the pc, the cpu temp will never be under 48 C,. So what should i do? sometimes the my gpu lock up due to temp so i have "undeclock" it. don“t know what to do. here in colombia there are no better fans or water cooling systems.
Can i work with that temp?
Ur temps r fine dude.....as long as the system doesnt crash its ok.....however what i DO recomend is that u put some case fans in there to get soem better air circulation...also to reduce the temps..take ur Volcano 7 off.....rub off that thermal pad off the heatsink and all the residue on the CPU itself and than buy soem Arctic Silver 3 and apply some to the CPU die and put the Volcano 7 back on....should have better temps. than.....
That temp is fine, i have a case with 2 side fans, 2 rear, and one front fan, i am using an alpha hs. O and i am using a 1800+. When i have the heat in the house turned up a little my temps go from 36c to 41c and it runs fine.
I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE,,<--- comes out of the closet screaming i am an AMD bieocth fan boy..
