Well it seems that TOM doesnt know yet. ATi is making a SDRAM chipset most likely DDR-SDRAM. Well in the article
DDR For Pentium III -
VIA's Apollo Pro 266 Chipset
Tom Said this:
Hello VIA! What we really need is a DDR-chipset for Pentium 4! This processor is able to show what power is hidden inside DDR-SDRAM. That's why Intel and Rambus don't want a DDR-chipset for this processor for the time being. The only alternative is an AMD processor that will be able to make use of high memory bandwidth. However, it doesn't seem as if AMD will be able to pull that off for the next few quarters. That's too bad for the 'Team-DDR' and it will make Rambus feel a whole lot better.
you must tell tom that ATi has P4 sdram support coming. Its weird that i haven't seen it in the news. Maybe you read this:
" This processor is able to show what power is hidden inside DDR-SDRAM. That's why Intel and Rambus don't want a DDR-chipset for this processor for the time being. "

Well guess why would intel sign a cross licensing agreement w/ ATi. Doesn't ATi want to push DDR-sdram. Intel is using ATi for DDR-sdram support. ATi is new to the chipset business perfect for Intel to use. Intel wants to dumb rambus awhile ago. Intel sales dropped due to RDRAM Price. ATi's P4 chipset comes it will have intel back-up, and sell like a intel chipset , more the i850. Intel probally doesnt want 3rd party like VIA to get sdram p4 support first, the cross licensing agreement w/ ATi mean Intel makes more money. Second ATi doesn't have plan's for an AMD athlon chipset. Perfect for intel to support.Saying Intel P4 w/ ATi chipset will get them more money then having a Intel P4 w/ via chipset. So Intel gets there sdram support + make more money then going w/ VIA or ALi.

Ok FREDI, Why would sign a cross licensing agreement with ATi. If ATi is pushing DDR-sdram. So since of the cross licensing agreement with ATi, Intel can have a DDR-sdram chipset and make more money w/ ATi over VIA.

Well im saying that Tom thinks that Intel doesn't what SDRAM at all and still want RDRAM. Im saying why would intel help ATi out in the chipset market. only unless for SDRAM support.

Well intel is moving very slow to the linux side of the force. So micro$oft Side (the dark side of the force "bill gates is darth vader" )doesn't like them that much.

Intel+Harley? Does that mean we can expect them to suddenly go bankrupt, get bought out by their employees, and restructure as a niche maker of 286's that cost twice as much as everydody elses products and break down all the time? LMFAO! BTW Harley Davidson is an insult to American ingenuity!
Hmm... I'd rather have a Honda than a Harley. Harleys are loud, expensive, noisy and actually pretty slow and they consume a lot of gas. They're expensive because of the name, but from what I understand they don't last all that long.
Honda's are engineered to be comfortable (between sport and cruiser), efficient, fast and they happen to be less expensive in general. Honda's definitely my choice.
Actually, I thought I saw a ZX12R not too long ago. Kawasaki makes some pretty big bikes now. I like Honda though as I feel they have a bit more reliability (at least the 600CBR does!). Problem is all of those odd-sized bolts and everything. Have to buy a freakin' huge toolset!
I still like better the Bill gates that got shot by the military in "SOUTHPARK - The movie" , for windows 98 not performing like it should !(Like Micro$oft Wanted! :-) )

All the Jap bikes are reliable, but Yamaha and Honda seem to be the best for that. You don't need to have a mechanic in your club if your members ride these!
No one who is a technology fiend would ever take a Harley over a Honda (I prefer Yamaha though, the R1, oh sheet). Everything about a sportbike is more attractive to a tech geek. Does anyone know why so many computer geeks like sport bikes? I don't see danger and computers going togeather, but hey whatever floats your boat.
