I'm really bumped with this one, can I actually build a computer from the ground up using a 200GB HD? Does the A7N8X, for example, supports 48-bit LBA? Can I install winXP on this systems? or do I need to make an XPSP1 CD to do a first install???

Mabe this belongs on the MB section or even the HD section, but help!

1) To my knowledge, any ATA133 controller will support such.

2) To my knowledge, any Serial ATA controller will support such, even with an adapter to run an ATA100/133 device.

3) To my knowledge, recent ATA100 controllers also support such.

4) To my knowledge, any external or internal hard drive run by USB or Firewire also supports such. (Yes, if you try you can configure an internal Firewire hard drive.)

5) To my knowledge, if you go SCSI you also can do it.

(Of course, if anyone has proof that I'm wrong on any of this, I'd really like to know.)

So yes, you can build a computer from the ground up using a 200GB hard drive.
