Hi everyone

Need some help on my Treo 650

My versaMail keeps crashing my Treo when I attempt to run it. Suspect
that a corrupt mail data is crashing it. How do I delete the program
and re-install it ? Please advise

Hello MindTrix,

This is Kevin from palmOne. Do you have a Sprint branded Treo by
chance? There is an update, for Sprint Treo 650 phones only, at
http://www.palmone.com/us/support/downloads/treo650upda...

If this is not the case, there is also an article at the palmOne
Knowledge Library that explains in detail how to correct this issue:
"VersaMail crashes or resets Treo 650"
http://www.palmone.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=36541

Hope that helps.

Sincerely
Kevin

You can try to guess which files are by Versamail and delete from file
manager such as FileZ. Or, you can download trial version of Uninstall
Manager and uninstall only databases of Versamail, which should, IIRC,
make Versamail nude as just born. :)

You can offcourse uninstall whole application including database files
using Uninstall Manager, but probably you don't need to do that.

I had a similar problem.

IIRC there is an FAQ on the Palm site re this.

Hi Kevin,

Any idea when a firmware upgrade for the GSM unlocked Treo 650 will be
released?

I have identified a few firmware issues and reported them to Palm in
Australia, and they said that they would be followed up, after confirming
same. (I think this was actually handled by your offices in Philippines?)

This was just after the general release in Australia some months ago now.

Minor issues, but annoying!

Sorry, John, I've no knowledge of a new upgrade as yet, but am
certain palmOne is working hard to address specific issues in new
firmware releases. My best suggestion is to keep an eye on the palmOne
Treo 650 GSM page at
http://www.palmone.com/us/support/treo/treo650gsm/.

Sincerely
Kevin

Thanks for the reply Kevin.

Very rare to see support staff on such a forum as this; I am sure most of
us appreciate this.
