I'm just asking in regards to Copenhagen's statement that "the XP2400+'s comes with unlocked multipliers".. true ? I mean, in my case, an MSI KT3Ultra only supports up to a 16x multiplyer anyways, so the "unlocked" multiplyer is useless anyways, or on the other hand its not unlocked, because thats the multiplyer needed anyways, and therefore its standard... right ?

According to Anandtech, the Tbred Bs XP2400+ and XP2600+ are able to be unlocked when used on the nForce 2 mainboards. Some have reported that even on the KT4s.
However no other AthlonXPs are able to unlock without the unlocking kit or pin trick.

Well my Asus A7N8X (nForce2) does NOT allow me to unlock the CPU with the standard 1001.C bios. I would just love to get my hands on a BIOS which would let me unlock the CPU. I've heard the claim that a so called 1003 BIOS is able to do this, but so far I've seen no evidence of it.

I think an e-mail to Anandtech might be in need.
