With the major tournament season coming up, when will the new REG be ready? I
will be judging a state tournament, and I'd like to have the current, official
rulings. (I'm catching up on the ezBoard posts gradually, but having everything
in one official location would be very helpful.)

Plus neither board's rulings may be used in a tourament as basis for a
judge's ruling. Because as I have previously stated there are Redemption
Players who are not on these boards and the only rules they can go on are
the REG and 3rd ed Rule Book.

I would assume that because the REG is official you may write a letter to
Cactus and request it. They may charge you for printing out 260+ pages,
but being official...

Assuming eh?

I was thinking that would be the only way, I might write and ask them myself.

Hey,

I wonder if you ask for youself or for someone else. You obviously do have
some internet access, possibly not sufficient internet access to download
the REG. Does the person needing the REG have computer access? I know that
the REG could be quite easily mailed on CD if the person needing it has
access to a computer. I think that's how Mike gets it to Chris to put on
his website.

Tschow,

Of course we could also say that if the person doesn't have internet
access, the person should have no knowledge of the Reg and therefore have
no need to ask for it.

I do know some tourny hosts who do have internet access yet just don't
check the boards, i've seen the judge rule that i can tape back up my
hamans plot and use it again. Also I've had it ruled that holy grail
can convert the blocking EC.
If nobody is there that can back you up you're gonna be stuck
sometimes..........

Some rulings made on the EZboard are official. Chris Bany posted the
following on the EZboard about 17 hours ago:

"...rulings by Bryon Hake and myself are official but can be overruled
by Rob."

That comment was in reference to a ruling Chris Bany made regarding a
situation that was not covered in the rule book or REG (it was about
using the Search card to get a Lost Soul).

PS - Chris Bany posted the following on this news group about 2 years
ago: "Don't ever quote me again." That comment was in reference to me.
;)

I believe this is in regard to offical ot this is what i think posts.
Chris and Bryan have taken over most of the rule answerings. I don't
believe this is refering to rule or non-rule. As Rob said:

From the currently available REG:

The public newsgroup (rec.games.trading-cards.misc on
http://groups.google.com) and the EZBoard website (redemptionccg on
http://www.ezboard.com) are places where we discuss, think out loud,
argue, tease and joke. We will make every reasonable effort to keep
the Exegesis Guide current. Priority will be given to keeping the
Exegesis Guide current prior to big tournaments. Since there is a
local tournament going on somewhere almost every week, don't expect
every single new clarification to be melded into the Exegesis Guide
each week. Local tournament hosts should always defer to the 2nd
Edition (now 3rd Edition) Rulebook and Exegesis Guide. However, if
they wish to cite a new ruling on a newsgroup ..., prior to update in
the Exegesis Guide, then do so. The important thing is that you advise
all of your tournament players of the change prior to the start of the
tournament.

The REG should be out in a few weeks. It's going to be a bit different in
format and easier to maintain. It had previously gotten so big that it was
difficult to update and avoid contradictions. The new format should make it
much easier for you all to use. Hold your shirts on.....
