hello everyone,
I am looking to build a system. I am thinking about going with the amd athlon 2700+. Here is what i am looking at. Does it look like i am missing anything;
AMD Athlon 2700+ 333fsb (Processor)
Asus A7N8X Delux (Motherboard)
Volcano 9 Heatsink (Cooler)
2Dimms of Corsair 256meg DDR-3200 (Memory)
Maxtor 120GB ATA 133 7200RPM (Hard Drive)
ATI Radeon 9700pro (Video Card)
Sound Blaster Live 5.1 (Sound Card)
Pioneer DVD AO5 Recorder (Dvd Recorder)
16X DVD / 40X Cd OEM (Dvd/Cd)
Thermaltake Xaxer II (Case)
Any suggestions on what fan i should use?
thanks,
corey

Great system... This HD is the most quiet i've ever seen, the mobo and CPU are awesome and the xaser II case A6000A (aluminium) is very good too.
I would get the Thermalright SLK-800 Heatsynk w/ Tt Smart Fan II. And Corsair PC3500 CL2 or OCZ EL DDR PC3500.
just a quick question,
Would it make more sense for me to buy a bare bones system and start from there? If so any suggestions on which one i should buy (based on what i want in the system) or should i just buy individual pieces?
Don't waste money after the SB Live! Use the onboard audio. It's far better than SB Liveand should be better than Audigy.
What about Sony's DRU-500A? This burner burns to all DVD formats except DVD-RAM. And the price is not that high.
