Hi, I need your advise guys, i want to buy an OEM Radeon 8500LE and i found a store that have this card at a very good price, but is there any way to know the clocks before buying it? because i don't want to get screwed like some people with a 230/230 one...
I called to this store and asked to the guy, but he didn't know it, i asked him to check the memory and he said that is rated 3.6ns. That means that it should run up to 275 Mhz (theoretically), right?
And another question, the core is always the same (i.e. underclocked in the 230 version) or is a different one?

Thanks in advance

Cya

The 3.6ns memory is what you want, I have an 8500le/oem which has 4.0ns memory and is clocked at 230/230. I am able to overclock the core up to around 270 or 280 but could not get much more then 260 out of the memory until I increased the voltage by doing the " pencil trick" . The 3.6ns memory is the same speed as memory used on the 9700 non pro card.
I'm pretty sure the core would be the same on the entire 8500 series.

3.6ns is the good one, the stuff goes to 275MHz.
