Definitely the TNT2. Generally the more RAM the better the performance. TNT2s have 32 meg RAM and the Voodoo card only have 16.

If its not broke dont fix it.

IMO he has a micro ATX and his system doesnt have a AGP slot. So I have to go with the PCI. I picked up the TnT2 for 22.00$ off newegg. Not a bad price. We just want it for p2p gaming in AvP anyway. Besides the voodoo also has no driver support whereas the TnT2 does.

Thanks

I agree with Skipper007. A PCI GF2 MX will be the best buy

I was a Voodoo freak..They were the best as far as Glide based games..And still are..I thruogh out my V5500 for a Gforce based video card..I play Q3 arena.Bad call for Gameplay games that use this type.Older games that use glide will suffer.I know Voodoo all the way..But its to bad that Voodoo it dead .Im trying to adjust..Its slow, but "Time marches On"

couldnt agree moer. A few years back I was a 3dfx freak also. I mean, its so hard to believe there was a time when THEY where cutting edge and nvidia was trying to keep up. I still have an old broken 3500 on my shelf. Its still cool to look at (I have a whole 3dfx memorabilia rack..hehe) But c'mon. Red Alert, Quake, Rainbow6. Voodoo was cutting edge. But I decided not to get it cause of drivers.

But you Know whats REALLY annoying??? Best buy was selling a rack of voodoo5000/5500 for 72.00$$. I mean, wtf? 3dfx went under years back. And there prices for the Ti4200 were absurd (400$). anyway, voodoo's were Advertised as "For extreme gaming!". Is it me? Or does anyone else see something wrong with that? I mean, one uneducated consumer walks in. Knows nothing about VC's. Buys a voodoo thinking its gonna play the latest games and get him through a few years. Goes home and realizes its got no driver support....

Best buy sucks. Once I got a taste of newegg...i wont ever walk into a hardware store again

Imo didnt get a GF2 or MX PCI cause we didnt need. 32mb TnT card was sufficient for what he wanted. He was using Integrated SiS 2mb memory. He just wanted something to free up his motherboard when playing his older games. He's happy. It was cheap. New-egg delieverd

Yes, you really can't pass more data than the TNT2 full version used on a PCI slot. The TNT2 M64 is half the card of the TNT2. A full version TNT2 would be ideal, but an MX200 would do similar and with better availability. I really don't see the point of an MX400 on a PCI bus, let alone a faster chip than that.
