DX9 + Cat 2.5 = Compatible?

Is DX9 and Catalyst 2.5 compatible? Anybody tried doing this? DX9 will still work with any card even those that aren't made with DX9 but DX8?

Should work, go ahead and try it, just make sure you create a restore point. I do know that you need DirectX 9.0 to use the Catalyst 3 drivers. You can download those at ATI's home.
