Hi
I'm planning to replace my old Diamond Viper V550 (TNT w/16MB) with an Abit Siluro GF4 Ti4200 (128 DDR).
My concern is this: since I have a P2 350MHz w/128MB (the MB is a Soyo w/440BX chipset), I'm not sure how much improvement I'll get from this replacement.
Any comments/opinions/advices appreciated. TIA

That may not be the best way to spend your money. Anything above a Geforce 2 card is just overkill for that kind of CPU. You will notice some graphical improvement but almost no performance improvement.

You'll probably see about 3x the graphics performance. You should see about 8x the perfomance, but you're limited by your system. Now there is som good news; your board supports 256MB of RAM per slot, Crucial carries the memory that's still compatable with BX chipsets in the 256MB size, and most Soyo boards supported 133MHz bus overclocks (and Coppermine processors). I'd suggest you get 256MB of Cas2 PC133 from Crucial, and overclock your PII 350 to 466MHz (3.5x133), or at least TRY to. And maybe later pick up a cheap CPU upgrade.

If you don't want to upgrade CPU soon, then a Radeon 9000 non-Pro will be enough
