Hi
I have troubles with installing my Visiontek Xtasy GeForce4 Ti4600.
My System has 512 DDR Ram in 2 sticks at 256Mb. The motherboard is an ASUS A7M266 with a 1.33 Ghz CPU.
I upgraded the graphic card I had before with the GeForce4. after that the system is only counting up to 260Mb. I have updated my BIOS to the newest available. The problem is still there. The PC is working properly and the graphic is good. But I want my full ram back!
I have looked into the BIOS settings but I dont understand all the options there are. Is there some kind of setting I have to change?
Additional Question, whats the best PC diagnostic tool you would recommend? Free if possible.
Thanks for any help.
regards
Nap

you can download sandra 2003 standard for free.it will tell you pretty much everthing you need to know.somethings are not enabled unless you pay for the deluxe version but the free version works pretty good.it will tell you the amount of ram you have, how much is free,in use and all.

It sounds as though your board is only readin one stick. You might have bumped the other one loose when you were installing the card, probably at the bottom clip. It's also possible that the card has put too much draw on the power supply, but not likely.
