Hello,

I'm building a new PC, and am shopping for a video card. I would like the best card available for playing DVD movies on my Television set; I won't be playing games or recording video through it.

Your suggestions? Thanks.

Yeah, pick up a Matrox G550 with the TV expansion jack. The jack comes with DVD software if you don't have any yet. You'll probably pay around 110 for both the card and the jack.

Agree with flamethrower205, jheine and rob423. Go for the Matrox G550

Decided to go with ATI Radeon 9500 Pro. The Matrox G550 only has 32MB, no direct TV-out connection (needs adaptor), and AGB of 4x. Thanks for your replies.
