Look on the net for WCPUID.exe.
It tells you CPU speed and info and includes an AGP tab which tells you what the board is capable of and what it is currently set to.

ok i now know it is 2x which i am pretty sure is not that fast. but if i get a new ati 9700 pro that 2x will slow the card down wont it. it would be the same as getting a lower end card.

Powerstrip will tell you also.

I wouldnt even worry about it either way. All cards should be compatible with it and theres no performance difference in games between 2x and even 8x.

Just get the fastest card you can afford. The difference between AGP2x and 4x performance is small, between 8x and 4x is zero.
