Black & White always freezes my system after about 15 or 20 minutes of play. WTF?
I play it on a P3@650Mhz, GF2MX (Hercules), 256Mb PC133, P2B mobo (BX chipset). I checked CPU load, and it's not that much and there's still plenty of memory left, so swapping is out of the question.
I'm starting to think about replacing that freakin' GF2MX!
Someone has a clue?

drivers = nVidia reference 29.42
PSU = Antec 300W
overheating = don't think so! Got an active HSF on the GPU.
I'll probably go out and change my GPU soon.

Honestly, whenever a program freezes up, the most common culprit is a heat issue. Have you tried pointing a fan (big desktop one) towards the interior of the case and then running the game? How is your HSF seated on the GPU? Thermal epoxy, or was it an aftermarket with a retention thingy?
No, I did not try to use a "desktop" fan. I shouldn't have to go to that length. I might give it a shot anyway. HSF mounted on the GPU is a Thermaltake Blue Orb with Arctic Silver compound.
