Is it worth the extra $100 can for the 9500 over the 8500

worth it in the long run.
if you can get the 9500 128mb, get that, it can be modded to a 9700..
or you can buy a 9500pro, which offers performance between a GF4 Ti4400 and Ti4200.

I hear that only works with Saphire cards, and that the cards in question are being replaced with a newer version where you can't do it. Also, I have yet to hear from anyone who actually succeeded.
