I was wondering if I could do the following:
Hook up two monitors to my ATI 9700 PRO through the standard VGA and the DVI and then use the tv out to connect it into a viewsonic external TV tuner and connect a third monitor up to it saving me a pci slot and the need to buy another graphics card. Anyone try this at all or something similar?

I don't see why you can't do it, each port is sending out a video signal simultaneously, though you may have a refresh rate problem. I don't know, you will have to check it out, but I think that the signal may be underpowered when you're doing this, thus resulting in lower refresh rates or maybe even result in slower performance.

I believe the signal of the second monitor output is shared with the TV output. So you'd either get no picture, or at best be limited to the same picture on both screens at TV resolution. If having the same pic on both is OK, I suggest a monitor splitter.
