I got the ATI 9500 Pro about 3 weeks ago and after flashing the IOS and overclocking it I've gotten the core up to 350 (from 275) but the memory can only go up to 300 without heatsinks. Well I've put heatsinks on all the Ram chips except for one and there in lies the problem. ATI (dumbly) put the external power intake for the card right over one of the chips, so there is no way to attach a heat sink. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a mod to fix this or has done one. Thanks.

If its not broken, you're not trying hard enough.

well you could always grab a thin sheet of copper, make sure its the same width, and epoxy it on the RAM chip, then make sure you've got enough length to make a wavy kinda heatsink for it ... it works, I've done it - just be creative.

Have you ever stuck your finger in a Vantec Tornado? That's 5700rpm right there - ouch. Today's public service announcement: don't play with plugged-in fans - especially Tornados..heh.
