Geforce FX Brands

Which brands should I go for if I'm going to buy Geforce FX? Pny? Asus? Leadtek? What is it?

I've been in ATI land for the past year and a half but before that I went with an ABIT Siluro card twice and couldn't have been more pleased. The cards were rock stable, came with a great package (dvd player, tv cables, Svideo to RCA converter etc..). Seeing how much cheaper the ABIT cards are over Asus and the fact that you get a quality brand and everything but the kitchen sink I can't help but suggest looking into an ABIT if you want value and quality rolled into one. I haven't been following the GF4Ti scene so I don't know what ABIT's been up to but I know that's the name I'd be picking up if hell ever froze over and I had to buy NVida again

well personally I'd say PNY. I've owned a few a PNY cards and they're all very nice if you have the extra $$$. Seems like PNY is always at the top high end cost market

Leadtek too is great. I trust em the most, and they have very high quality products.

Stay away from Asus! I think Leadtek is a reputable manufacturer. Too bad Visiontek has gone Ati they had good products/support. Then again why not Ati?

What about MSI cards? They made some very good GeForce4 Ti cards and they were reasonably priced

I personally found Gainward cards to be awesome.

Since they'll have identical cores, identical ram and identical PCB's, get which ever is cheeper. Alternately if cost is no object then get whichever has the best add-ons such as bundled games.

i went with leadtek for this gf4 ti4200 im running now and couldn't be more pleased... also came with a nice software/hardware package...
